Muncie Girls - From Caplau to Belsize 12" vinyl LP (yellow)

Muncie Girls were a British punk rock band, formed in Exeter, South West England in 2010. Its longest serving lineup consisted of Lande Hekt (bass, rhythm guitar, vocals), Dean McMullen (lead guitar), and Luke Ellis (drums).[1][2] The band released two studio albums, From Caplan to Belsize (2016) and Fixed Ideals (2018), on hometown label Specialist Subject Records and toured internationally.
With a sound reminiscent of Sleater Kinney and Kenickie, debut album From Caplan to Belsize is one of the most important records of the year. Their songs hit hard, the adrenaline rush of ‘Gone With the Wind’ discusses social anxiety: “You can find me under the table I’m not coming out”. ‘Respect’ highlights the dangers of sexism and a culture that overlooks this, as Lande sings: “It’s started again, another girl has lost her energy / It’s so easy to pretend this doesn’t happen in our society.” The delivery is brutally honest, while the songwriting is strong with some infectious riffs.
